The Hedgehog is a delightful movie, and I actually liked it better than the book, for a change.

Latest 5 books...
Well here's the latest lot of books I have been reading. I'm still finishing "The Bolter" a biography of Idina Sackville, (scandalous Edwardian lady), and am enjoying it greatly. Jasper Jones is another really good read - part mystery, part coming of age and part social commentary - love the digs at the Johnnie Howard era.
Boombana
On Sunday we headed up to Mt Nebo where we had a lazy sit in the sun at a local cafe, with beautiful birdsong all around us. We then stretched our legs, just a little, by doing the short rainforest circuit at Boombana picnic ground, just down the road. The highlight was this gorgeous giant strangler fig.

Knitting Frenzy
I am working myself up into a state of knitting madness. I am trying to make a jumper but I don't really have a pattern I like so I am making it up as I go...could be a recipe for disaster, but I am enjoying the ride.

Mt Ngungun
This is a delightful little walk in the Glasshouse Mountains of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. It takes about 30 minutes or so to get to the top, depending on how fit you are or how much you like to dawdle. Lovely views and lots of rocks.
