Koala Cuteness

Yesterday we visited Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. The babies were sooo cute! But it is so very sad that due to rampant and insensitive development, they have hardly any natural habitat left in SE Qld and are endangered.

Go see this movie!

The Hedgehog is a delightful movie, and I actually liked it better than the book, for a change.

Latest 5 books...

Well here's the latest lot of books I have been reading. I'm still finishing "The Bolter" a biography of Idina Sackville, (scandalous Edwardian lady), and am enjoying it greatly. Jasper Jones is another really good read - part mystery, part coming of age and part social commentary - love the digs at the Johnnie Howard era.

Boombana

On Sunday we headed up to Mt Nebo where we had a lazy sit in the sun at a local cafe, with beautiful birdsong all around us. We then stretched our legs, just a little, by doing the short rainforest circuit at Boombana picnic ground, just down the road. The highlight was this gorgeous giant strangler fig.

Knitting Frenzy

I am working myself up into a state of knitting madness. I am trying to make a jumper but I don't really have a pattern I like so I am making it up as I go...could be a recipe for disaster, but I am enjoying the ride.
