Movie - Safety Not Guaranteed

It was hot yesterday so we escaped to the cinema and saw this quirky indie movie which turned out to be suprisingly uplifting! It was one of those rare occasions where I didn't know anything about the movie beforehand - I actually love that ....I should do it more often.

I don't know if it was a case of pre menstrual sentimentality or just a brilliant direction, but this movie really affected me!

A Spring Stroll

Officially, Spring is a few days away yet but the flowers and the weather aren't aware of that. Here are a few photos from a lovely little walk we did today through the Marcus Beach dunes.

Bushwalk - Mt Greville

Yesterday we did a bushwalk that neither of us had done before, and just an hour and 15 minutes from Brisbane! Mt Greville is in the Moogerah Peaks National Park West of Brisbane and is a 3-4 hour walk.

We went up through the beautiful and shady Palm Gorge and came down the South East Ridge. It turned out to be one of my favourite day walks near Brisbane. We only had a phone camera and a compact camera with us but I'll be taking the SLR next time.

No visit to the Main Range is complete without a visit to Aratula's Bakery and antique store on the way back to Brisbane.
