Yet another crotcheted cushion

It is obviously the Winter of the Crocheted Cushion, because here is another - this time for my Mum.
Once again I have been inspired by Lucy and used her ripple pattern. I got the gorgeous buttons from Tangled Yarns.

Bushwalk - Mt Greville

Yesterday we did a bushwalk that neither of us had done before, and just an hour and 15 minutes from Brisbane! Mt Greville is in the Moogerah Peaks National Park West of Brisbane and is a 3-4 hour walk.

We went up through the beautiful and shady Palm Gorge and came down the South East Ridge. It turned out to be one of my favourite day walks near Brisbane. We only had a phone camera and a compact camera with us but I'll be taking the SLR next time.

No visit to the Main Range is complete without a visit to Aratula's Bakery and antique store on the way back to Brisbane.

Recipe Book Challenge

Deb over at Cooking up a Storm in a Teacup has asked us where we keep our cookbooks. Well as it happens...my books have overflowed from a kitchen cupboard to the pedal of a cast iron sewing machine just off the kitchen. Strange, but true, and easier to reach too!

Movie - "Margaret"

We saw this great movie today....deals with guilt, mortality, relationships, racism, and of course, teenage girls!
